R&B style originates from the musical flow of rhythm and blues - the music of dark-skinned people from America, in the 1940s.
And the modern name of R&B was formed around the 80s as a result of the merger of two musical styles - hip hop and rhythm-n-blues, which gave birth to a whole subculture. Today, the main feature of the style is a pronounced sexuality, ample curves, the desire for luxury and glamor.
There’s passion for openly sexy clothes, short tops, combos, embroidered with sequins and, of course, tattoos!
Famous representatives - R & B divas are Beyonce, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Alice Case.
It was they who were fashion queens of such a trend as Juicy couture sports suits with Louis Vuitton's bags and platformed snickers. So that's the way the wind blows!!!
Hairstyles typical for R&B style are short haircuts, trimmed temples of contrasting lengths, bright hair colors and, of course, since the founders of this style were black skinned representatives, we see elements of traditional ethnic hairstyles - many combinations with braiding that I find very attractive and distinctive. Clothes are made of patent leather of bright colors, there’s an addiction to animal prints, rap caps, because they are related styles. There’re some sports elements, inscriptions on clothes. All this is an incomplete list of what can be observed on the representatives of this style. Today, R & B is not a privilege of black musicians, many girls around the globe are happy to try this image on and become fans of such a bright sparkling style.
